OHMAGAWD THIS WAS THE HARDEST! Cuz for this tutorial I actually had to go to the swimming pool and the gym and believe me, I am NEVER going there again! O_O
Okay so alot of you guys wanted me to do more of this so I decided to stress more on the hardest part of drawing like Glen Keane and that was the body and the pose. I had to go through ALOT of Glen Keane's references and none of them satisfied me cuz he actually drew naked people, and I am not NOT ready for that stage. So I went through
tutorials where she used the reference of girls in swimming suits for the body layout. So, since I didn't have a clue on how to draw like that, I went to the swimming pool, which wasn't at ALL good, and then to the gym. One of the women there was a foreigner *American* and believe me, she was the only one dressed in a swimsuit like clothing. She was a good reference, so I used her for my sketches.
Again, I was enthusiastic about her hair, that resembled to Jazz's, oh lord, I want a haircut like THAT! O_O I'm pretty lucky I ran into her, cuz the next day when I came again, she wasn't there. I guess most foreigners don't approve of the gyms here in our country :I Not with Muslim ladies getting jealous of their figures. I know I was
Sorry about the messiness of the sketches, I took a small mini pad with me so I had to cram the stuff together.
So on this part of the tutorial, my advice would be to use people for reference, especially those who's muscles you can study clearly, which in my defense would be a swimmer's or a working out body. They are the best reference ever! An-n-n-n-d, use stick figures! I always use stick figures for the poses so that would help alot! And then my last advice would be PRACTICE PRACTICE AND PRACTICE.
Give some feedback on how I did and what you guys want me to do next on how I draw. :3 Cheers!
